There’s a chinese restaurant in the city that is one of our favorite places to go and have a big old crazy family style dinner with friends. The atmosphere is totally wacky, the food is delicious, but it’s the lychee martinis that always get me excited. I had never heard of them before I had dinner there, but after the first sip I was hooked. They are slightly sweet and taste like they were made for martinis.
Always looking to do something different, I decided I’d try adding a little domaine de canton to the lychee and vodka, because we all know that ginger makes everything better. A quick shake here, a smooth pour there, topped off with a lychee and tada the lychee ginger martini was born. It’s fruity with a little zing and totally delicious.
So cheers to you and a great weekend to look forward to!

This martini sounds delicious!! I had my first lychee martini the other night at an Asian fusion restaurant, and it was total love. I can’t wait to make my own now that youv’e given me a recipe. Plus, ginger flavor is one of my favorites!!

Great drink…I think the gingeriness of the Domain takes away from the awesome subtle lychee flavor, though. So I use Lichido Liqueur (lychee/guava/peach concoction)with Lychee Juice and Vodka. Just can’t beat lychee martinis!
