Oy this week is a nutty one, so please excuse my lack of togetherness. I've put together some more concrete information about market week to help you plan out your week. If you have a blog and you're participating in this little experiment with me, I'd love to post links to your creation, so please send me a link to your post and I'll include it in my round-up the following week. Also, I understand not everyone will be able to do everything, so please do what you can and don't feel stressed out about it... It's going to be a blast!
Here's a little schedule of how I envision next week:
Objective:
Over the weekend purchase all your groceries at your local farmer's market (or farmer's stand or your own garden) and create 5 dinners using market ingredients. You may use flour, oil and spices from your cupboard, but the goal is to create market-focused meals.
Plan:
Saturday:
- Go to the market, enjoy, purchase ingredients.
- Bring ingredients home, photograph them and upload to the market week flickr page. (flickr is free for everyone and it's easy to start an account).
Sunday:
- Make first meal, photograph.
Monday:
- Post Sunday's meal with recipe.
- Make dinner, photograph.
Tuesday:
- Post Monday's meal with recipe.
- Make dinner, photograph.
Wednesday:
- Post Tuesday's meal with recipe.
- Make dinner, photograph.
Thursday:
- Post Wednesday's meal with recipe.
- Make dinner, photograph.
Friday:
- Post Thursday's meal with recipe.
- Treat yourself to a relaxing dinner.
Following Monday:
- I'll post a round up of the market week recipes as well as thoughts.
Whew! Are you tuckered out yet? I am, but I'm super excited too! I've been gathering recipe ideas and planning out my meals. I can't wait to share them with you!
