happy hour: the maple leaf
Am I the only one who can’t believe it’s the Friday before Christmas?! Holy smokes, where has this month gone? I have to apologize for my lengthy absence. Luckily my time away has brought about some good news… we are moved in (yay!), Remedy Quarterly has been printed and sent out to our lovely subscribers (woohoo!) and good news in a weird way, I’ve missed this place! After blogging for nearly two years, almost on a daily basis it can begin to feel a little overwhelming at times, but I’ve been happy and reassured to find myself missing it (and you!).
So in honor of good things, I’ve whipped up one delicious beverage called the maple leaf. A little rye, a little maple syrup and a good squeeze of lemon is all you need. It will leave you with a festive, wintry warm kind of feeling.
Cheers friendos!

I recently came accross your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I don’t know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog. I will keep visiting this blog very often.
Maple syrup in a cocktail! This sounds interesting! I want to try this and find for myself if it tastes good.
Welcome back! We’re about to move to, and I’m sweating just thinking about it…boxes, and ikea trips, and more boxes. Loving the idea of a little maple in a nice, strong cocktail. Good to see you back!
As a Canadian and maple syrup devotee I’m thrilled to discover this cocktail. In fact, I was doing a Canadian-themed dinner party recently and only wish I’d seen this post sooner. Must check you out more often! All the recipes look scrumptious.
