happy hour: summer lovin

Oh happy day! It’s that time again and this week I’ve combined two of my favorite beverage elements, bourbon and ginger. Yuummm!

Thank you to everyone for the lovely anniversary wishes! I’m so lucky to not only have an amazing husband, but also great readers like you! Cheers!

summer lovin
makes 1 drink

2 oz bourbon
1/2 oz ginger syrup
dash of bitters
candied ginger, for garnish

Combine all ingredients along with an iced cube in a cocktail shaker. Shake for 10 seconds.

Strain into a highball glass and garnish with a piece of candied ginger.

Drink up!

    The absolute best Honey Lemonade Recipe: 1/2 gallon warm water, 1/2 cup honey, 1/4 cup sugar, 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice. Just mix it all with your hands (their warmth will disolve the honey and sugar) and pour mixture into a gallon container filled 3/4 with ice. You can use orange blossom honey to get an awesome citrus flavor.
