frequently asked questions

what kind of camera do you use?
I started out using the canon elph which is an amazing little camera. I really can’t recommend it enough. It’s super small and has an incredible macro lens.

After awhile I wanted to have more flexibility with my photography so I stepped it up a notch and got the Canon Rebel Xsi. So far I’ve just been using the lens that it came with, but the real key to this camera and the thing that makes it rock my world is the Canon 430 EX II Speedlite Flash. I can’t recommend this flash enough. It allows me to take photos at any time of day or night… I just love it.

can we exchange links?
you’re more than welcome to link to me on your blog, but i try to keep only my favorite, most read blogs in my links panel. if you think yours fits the bill, send it my way and i’ll start reading it.

can i use your photos on my blog?
why yes you can, but please credit and link to eat make read.

would you ever consider guest blogging on my site?
i’m always open to it, so please feel free to send me an email (kelly(at)carambula.com) and ask.

what’s your favorite food?
brownies. yup, i find it hard to turn one down. also, anything mexican makes me one happy lady.

StumbleUpon brought me to your blog and I’m very happy about it! Definitely going to try some of your recipes out (as a broke college student, and my new fascination with cooking, this thrills me! haha).

    Happy eating. :)

    Hi Kelly,
Love your site. I also found my way here via StumbleUpon. Your candid descriptions of each thing you cook/bake are wonderful.
Have you tried the Artisan Bread in 5 Minutes a Day? It has the time factor and convenience you may be looking for. I did see that you have been making the Lahey type No-Knead bread and this method has much more instant gratification. Since purchasing the book I no longer buy bread. I have loaf of Deli Rye rising on my counter at this very moment.

I also saw your tomato and pepper project. I “garden” on a 5′x 10′ deck that barely gets enough sun to keep things alive but have been successfully growing heirloom tomatoes and hot peppers for several years now. I know you’re going to get such a kick when you bite into that first tomato or pepper you nurtured from seed.

Now I have to go read everything else on your site! Glad I found you.

    Cynthia
